录像中呈现了莽人小Z 在山地丛林中的荒野生存，以及在此过程中作为艺术家的拍摄者与出演自己的莽人之间因镜头的存在而发生的互动与对话。

 

录像的前半是一段呈现为黑白色的伪记录片，在其中，莽人小Z穿行于山地丛林和溪流中，寻找猎物，射击，搭建庇护所，生火。而录像的后一半则是这段伪纪录片的拍摄过程。这段彩色的素材里，拍摄者正在教导小Z如何表演他自己，而由此引发出一系列的对话、冲突和事件。录像自反地展示了一种“客观”风格是如何在实际中被制造出来的。

This video shows the hunting and the building of shelter by Z in the mountain jungle, and the conversation with the existence of the camera between the artist and Z, who was asked to act as himself.

The first half of the video is a pseudo-documentary presented in black and white, in which Z travels through mountainous jungles and streams, searching for prey, shooting, building shelters, and making fires. The second half of the video shows the filming of this pseudo-documentary. In this colourful footage, the filmmaker is teaching Z how to perform himself, which leads to a series of conversations, conflicts and events. The video reflexively demonstrates how an ‘objective’ style can be produced in practice.
